Helen Mason , 88, of South Bend, died Friday July 17, 2020 at The Hearth at Juday Creek. Helen was born September 19, 1931 in Mishawaka, the daughter of (the late) Levi and Iva Mae (Harris) Himes. She graduated from Mishawaka High School with the Class of '49 and was a retired accountant. Helen was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Mason; her daughter, Diana Terryn; brothers, Lewis, Lorenzo, Levi (Jr.) and Lawrence Himes and her sisters, Margaret Ostrum & Dorothy Dare. She is survived by her children, Crystal (William) Baker of South Bend, Cheryl (Bob Goldman) Bieck of Mishawaka and Steven Mason of Ocean Isle Beach NC; step-children, Roberta Haske of Harrison MI, Robert (Gail) Mason of Davison MI, Clarence Mason of San Francisco CA, Arthur (Kathy) Mason of Houston TX, Harold Mason of Harrison MI, James Mason of Beaverton MI, William (Carol) Mason of Harrison MI and 9 grandchildren, 21 step-grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 16 step-great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren and 8 step-great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services 2:00 Thursday July 23, 2020 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. Visitation is from 1-2pm Thursday in the funeral home. Interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
