Helen M. Shelby, 89, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully at 12:45 pm, Friday, July 24, 2009 in Golden Living Center, Elkhart. Helen was born on August 15, 1920 in Waterloo, AL to the late Thomas and Dell (Higgins) Temple.
Helen is survived by her sister in law, Ruth Shelby of Mishawaka, six nieces and nephews, Thomas (Linda) Shelby of Granger, David Shelby of Mishawaka, Diane (Dennis) Kring of Mishawaka, Shelley Shelby of Mishawka, Samuel Shelby of Mishawaka and Timothy Shelby of Orlando, FL. She is also survived by several cousins.
Helen worked as an administrator for Associates for many years. She loved to travel and attended First United Methodist Church.
There will be no services. Burial will take place in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola is handling arrangements.
