Henry A. DeLater, 92, of Osceola, died Thursday, August 11, 2016. The Osceola native was born February 13, 1924, to Cecil and Goldie M. (Lindsey) DeLater in Walkerton, IN. On January 27, 1943, Henry married Anna Hann. She survives. Henry was a farmer and worked for Mastic Corporation in South Bend for 45 years before retiring. He enjoyed gardening, mowing the grass, and working in general. Henry''s family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Ansari and staff, Karlyn, his nurse, and the Center for Hospice Care for the compassionate care they provided to Henry. Henry was preceded in death by his parents; a son-in-law, Jack Grzeskowiak; a brother, Morris (Dorothy) DeLater; and a sister, Margaret Kwist. Henry is survived by his wife of 73 years, Anna DeLater, of Osceola; his children, Larry (Starlet) DeLater, Jerry (Judy) DeLater, Terry (Carol) DeLater, Marcella Grzeskowiak, Sharon (Glen) Woodard all of Osceola; ten grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and fourteen great-great-grandchildren. A time of visitation will be on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 from 4-7 PM in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy, Osceola, IN 46561. Private family services will take place.
