Herbert Clay Reasons, 79, passed from this life at 4:30p.m., Sunday, March 13, 2011, at his Mishawaka home, surrounded by his family. Born March 17, 1931, to Gilbert Clay Reasons and Odia Hester (Risner) Reasons at Viola, Arkansas. Graduated from Viola High School, 1950. Served in the U.S. Army 1952-1954. Married Ann Lee Kerley on October 27, 1952, at Sturkie, Arkansas. He worked at International Shoe Company, West Plains, Missouri 1954-1965, until he moved to South Bend, Indiana. He retired from AM General in 1993, where he worked as a Quality Control Inspector for 24 years. He is predeceased by both of his parents; one sister, Lillie Dean Reasons, and one brother, Charles Neal Reasons. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, one brother, T.J. Reasons of Sparta, MO., One daughter, Teresa Ann Vasquez, and one Grandson, Samuel Clay Vasquez. He was a faithful member of the Church of Christ at Currant and Jefferson Rds. in Mishawaka, where he humbly served as an Elder for 11 years. Funeral Services 11:00 Thursday March 17, 2011 at Church of Christ Jefferson, 56465 Currant Road, Mishawaka, with calling one hour prior to services. Calling also Wednesday 6-8 pm in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family's preferred memorial is Indogan Camp, Angola, IN.
