Herschell F. Beegle, 93, of Elkhart, died at 11:50 pm, Saturday, January 17, 2015 in Elkhart County Hospice House. Herschell was born on November 4, 1921, the son of Henry and Ellen (Carr) Beegle. On May 14, 1959, he married Edna Campbell. She died on July 6, 2005. He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Doris Czoch, grandson, John Jason Andrew Czoch, and siblings, Robert Beegle, Lucille Redd, Burel Woodney, Muriel Boren, and Rosemond Coryell. Herschell is survived by two grandsons, Terry Czoch and Kip Czoch; 10 grandchildren, , Michael, Derrek, Misty, Bridgette, Brittiany, Troy, Tanya, Toby, Tiana, and Trina; and one great great granddaughter, Anya. Herschell proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII and was honorably discharged in 1945. He worked for Wheel-a-Brator for 39 years before his retirement in 1983. He was an avid fitness guru and attained the title of "Sit Up King" after performing 3000 sit ups without stopping. He loved to watch sports and will be remembered as a loving grandfather. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 pm, Wednesday, January 21, 2015 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens with military honors.
