Hertha J. Schultz, 95, of Fort Wayne (formerly of Elkhart) died Tuesday October 13, 2015 at home. Hertha was born in Bremen, Germany on December 15, 1919 to John and Hanna (Zardovski) Kolbe. She was retired and had worked as a beautician & stylist both from her home salon and also for Robertson''s. Hertha cherished the time spent with family & friends at their winter home in North Ft. Myers FL; she enjoyed swimming and was an avid fan of Chicago Cubs baseball & Bears football. In addition to her parents, Hertha was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Schultz in 1992. She is survived by her daughters, Janet Smith of Fort Wayne and Jody Koontz of Franklin; grandchildren, Anna Marie Smith of St. Paul MN, Randy Smith of Ossian, Rhonda Hudson of Ft. Wayne, Rachel Smith of Denver CO, Adam (Angela) Koontz of Franklin and Kristin Koontz of Portland OR; great-grandchildren, Calvin Koontz, Olivia Hudson, Ruthie Hudson, R.J. Smith and Coralee Smith.
