SOUTH BEND - Homer L. King, 74, of Mishawaka, passed away peacefully Monday, Oct. 23, 2017 at South Bend Hospice House. Homer was born in Des Arc, AR on March 9, 1943 to Leroy King & Dorothy (Sanders) Morrow.
Homer was a fan of music, working on crossword puzzles, & enjoyed reading. He also adored old movies. His family recounts many times he could tell you everything about the actors, themes, & various trivia about any classic film. He was also a very quick study when it came to learning something new, especially while he was employed with Logan Industries. He never thought ill of anyone. Homer was happy-go-lucky and was a lover of life. He loved everyone and everyone loved him.
Homer is survived by his mother, Dorothy Morrow; brothers, Jerry King of Mishawaka & John (Kerry) Morrow of South Bend; sisters, Carol (Joe) Rager of Mishawaka & Brenda (Danny) Church of Wyoming; numerous nieces & nephews, as well as his extended Logan family, Kenny Wright, Paul Davies, Joseph Ndisya, Sahr Nabeau, and Oylieme Ademokunwa.
Visitation for Homer will be held from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm, Thurs. Oct. 26, 2017 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home located at 10776 McKinley Hwy, Osceola. Funeral services will be the following day at 2:00 pm, Fri. Oct. 27, 2017 with Pastor Joe Rager of Riverside Bible Church officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
