Hosea Lowell Jump

August 21, 1936 – May 22, 2024

Hosea Jump 87, of Goshen, Indiana died peacefully at the Waters of Wakarusa, Wednesday, May 22, 2024.

Hosea Lowell Jump was born to the late Floy Catherine (Shelton) Jump and Hosea Walker Jump August 21, 1936, in Massac County Illinois. Preceding him in death are his sister Barbara (Jump) Collins, daughter Susan (Jump) Fusaro, and son-in-law Todd Klosowski.

Hosea married Jeanette (Sheler) Jump, December 20, 1959, and celebrated 64 years together. She survives along with daughter Lisa (Jump) Klosowski and 2 granddaughters Leah Carson and Ryan Catherine Klosowski; 2 grandsons Jeffery Kollar and Jordan Rivers; 2 great granddaughters Melanie and Marlie Rivers and their momma Savanna Ottman, Jeffery's special friend Sandi De Metz, Lisa'a special friend Jeff Matheson, as well as many nieces and nephews, cousins, and others.

Hosea graduated class of 1954 from Elkhart High School. He served 3 years in the United States Army, 13 months of that spent in Korea after the war. He returned to his job at NCR (National Cash Register Company) for a total of 33 years.

After retirement he opened his own "We Do Clocks" shop in our home. He assisted Dan Ecklebarger Sr. in the maintenance of the Goshen Courthouse clock and by himself after Dan retired for a total of 20 years. He was a member of NAWCC (National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors).

Family and friends may visit on Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, located at 10776 McKinley Hwy., Osceola, Indiana 46561.  A funeral service will be held beginning at 3:00 pm
