Ines M. Welsh, 68, passed away peacefully at home in the early morning of August 13, 2018. Ines was born to the late Floyd and Rheta (Burk) McAfee on October 20, 1949 in South Bend, IN. On September 22, 1990, she and Michael Welsh were married and celebrated 27 years before her passing. Ines was a self-employed seamstress and house cleaner. Ines would lovingly design and sew gowns, dresses, banners, quilts, curtains, and costumes. She was also known for her prized vegetable garden and canned her own produce to share with all. Ines also adored flowers, loved to read, and taught herself to upholster furniture. She was a past Awana Club Leader, attended Bible Study Fellowship International for 17 years and fulfilled the role of being the Youth Club Leader for much of that time. She was a dedicated wife, a wonderful mom, loving grandma, and a perfect sister. Ines will forever be in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Ines is survived by her loving husband, Michael Welsh; sons, Steven (Liezyl) Vellucci and Kenneth Vellucci; daughters, Lorilyn (Brian) Dill and Laura (Mike) Budzielek; grandchildren, Alyssa, Andrew, Luke, and Olivia; brothers, Cary (Cathy) McAfee and Neal McAfee, and sisters, Corinne Holysz & Lashell Stevens. Visitation for Ines will be from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm, Saturday, August 18, 2018 at the Gospel Center Missionary Church located at 930 S. 30th Street, South Bend, IN. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Jon Ranous to officiate. A private interment will take place in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens the following Monday. Chapel Hill Funeral Home is entrusted with Mrs. Welsh's arrangements.
