Obituary

ELKHART- James Tinsley 83 passed away at his home Tuesday morning surrounded by loved ones. James was born to Clarence and Evie Mae (Groves) Tinsley in Charlotte Tennessee later he would meet and marry Berdie Murphy and they would spend over forty years together before her passing in May of 2016. He attended Willowdale Church of Christ in Elkhart for many years. James did masonry work before getting into the R.V. business. Some of his favorite things to do were watching old western shows such as Gunsmoke, Bonanza and so on also enjoyed mowing his yard. James was always willing to help anyone he did not know a stranger, the most important thing in James life was his family. James is survived by daughters, Susie Wiser and Martha Swaw, brothers Clarence E. Tinsley and Freddie W. Tinsley sisters Susie Ann Walker, Susie Nell Tinsley grandchildren David (Beth)Swaw, Tammy Swaw great-grandchildren Ashley Groves, Frankie Swaw, Casey Swaw. He was preceded in death by his spouse, parent''s brother Clarence M. Tinsley sisters Hattie Mae Sessler, Ruby Elaine Adams and grandchild Jimmy Bubba Groves. A gathering of friends and family will be August 20, 2016 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home 10776 McKinley Highway Osceola, IN 46561 from 12:00pm - 2:00pm with funeral starting immediately after at 2:00pm at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
