James Ward Curtis, 80, of  Mishawaka, IN, passed away on October 30, 2023 peacefully in his home surrounded by family.  Jim was under the special care from nurses of ProMedica Hospice.

He was born on March 19, 1943 in Niles, MI to Clark and Darlene Curtis.  Jim graduated from Niles High School and married his high school sweetheart, Sharon Perry, in 1961.  They celebrated 62 years of marriage on Aug. 18, 2023. Jim was an electrician with IBEW Local #153.  He retired after 55 years of service with them.

Jim is survived by his wife, Sharon; daughters: Lori (Bill) Stanage and Lonnay (Curtis) Sexton; granddaughters: Danielle (Jon) Wasik and Stephanie (Joe) Plahtaric; and his great grandchildren: Jules, McKenna, Jade, Cora and Veda; as well as his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Rober Curtis and Dr. Greg Curtis.

Jim enjoyed being with family and he was an avid Notre Dame fan.  He also liked bowling, golfing, cards and casinos.

Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the funeral.

A Funeral Service in his honor will be on Friday Nov. 3, 2023 at 1 PM at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 10776 McKinley Hwy., Osceola, IN 46561. Chaplain David Szymczak will officiate.  Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
