James Brian Mayer, 57, of Mishawaka, passed away June 5, 2013 in his home. Jim was born on January 31, 1956 in St. Louis, MO to Leo F. and Patricia R. (Hoffman) Mayer.

Jim is survived by three children, Amanda (Stephen) Kulwicki of Mishawaka, Daniel (Carley) Mayer of Elkhart and Kristen Byler of Mishawaka; three grandchildren, Ethan, Cain and Addison. He is also survived by his mother, Patricia Mayer of Granger and four siblings, Michael Mayer of Richmond, VA, Mary Koeselki of Richmond, VA, Nancy Schaffer of Phoenix, AZ and Susan Crawford of Granger.

Jim currently owned and operated Dan''s Lawn Care. He was a loving father and grandfather and a person who never met a stranger. He was a man of strong faith and was on his 68th time of reading the Bible.

Friends may call from 2:00-5:00 pm, Sunday, June 9, 2013 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, June 10, 2013 in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
