James B. Pollock, 92, of Mishawaka, died Tuesday February 13, 2018. A native of Mishawaka, Jim was born March 15, 1925 to Russell O. & Hazel Marie (Lockridge) Pollock. He graduated from Mishawaka High School with the Class of '43 and attended the University of Connecticut. Jim proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII and was a member of the VFW Post #360. On September 19, 1948, Jim married Jane (Caskey) Pollock who preceded him in death on August 5, 2009 after 60 years of marriage. He retired from Uniroyal after 37 years of service and was a pitcher for their softball team. He was a member of First Brethren Church of Goshen and was an avid Cubs fan and also a Bears and Bulls fan as well. He enjoyed bowling, camping, woodworking and travelling, as well as tending to his yard with the landscaping and gardening.  Jim is survived by his sons, Michael S. (Christine) Pollock of Mishawaka and Gregory Alan (Deborah) Pollock of Goshen; grandchildren, Michele (Thomas) Stone of Akron IN, Daniel (Tessie) Pollock of Hilliard OH, Leslie (Dan) Laughlin of Elkhart and Brandon Pollock of Fort Wayne; 5 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife Jane, Jim was also preceded in death by 2 daughters, Jacqueline Pollock & Linda Lindhorn and his brother, William Pollock. Funeral Services 10:00 Friday February 16, 2018 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. Friends may call on Thursday from 5-7pm in the funeral home. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
