Obituary

James "Jim" Howard Rogers, 80, passed away at 1:55 pm, Wednesday, April 25, 2012 in Elkhart County Hospice House surrounded by family after a six month battle with Leukemia. Jim was born on November 3, 1931 in Elkhart, the son of Howard and Betty (Faust) Rogers. On April 25, 1959 in New Carlisle, he married June Robinson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, June of Elkhart; two sons, Kevin and Keith Rogers, both of Elkhart, two grandchildren, Josh and Ashley Rogers, and one great grandson, Kayden Rogers. He is also survived by two brothers, Royce Rogers and Lanny (Carolyn) Rogers, both of Elkhart. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ronald Rogers.
Jim proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force, before becoming honorably discharged. He worked for Redi Froze for 25 years, and then worked for Hingecraft as the Purchasing Agent for 25 years. He currently owns and operates local Big League Barbers. He is a member of Christ Chapel, South Bend.
Visitation will be held from 2:00-6:00 pm, Sunday, April 29, 2012 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, April 30, 2012 in the funeral home with Pastor Steve Sumrall officiating. Entombment will follow in the Good Shepherd Mausoleum on the ground of Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
