James H. Weston, Jr., 73, of Osceola was escorted to Heaven by angels at 11:15 pm, Saturday, September 4, 2010 in his home. Jim was born on July 18, 1937 in Waterloo, AL to the late James "Harold" and Vertie (Weaver) Weston. On June 21, 1958, he married Lillie Rose White. She passed away on August 29, 2002. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Jack Weston
He is survived by two children, Vicki (Michael) Miles of Osceola and Mark (Maryann) Weston of West Bend, WI, five grandchildren, Eric, Kristy, Halli, Ariel, and Austin. He is also survived by a sister, JoAnn (Dempsy) Gross of Edwardsburg, MI and two brothers, Jerry (Linda) Weston of Granger and Tom (Sharon) Weston of Mishawaka.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines. He was a graduate of Mishawaka High School and retired from AM General.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm, Tuesday, September 7, 2010 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 8, 2010 in New Life Baptist Church, 11593 McKinley Highway, Osceola with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
James was as exceptional man. He had dignity and a remarkable spirit. We will always remember the warm embrace he gave to his family. Thank you for always being there Dad.
