Janel Sue Mull

February 08,1953 – December 13, 2023

Janel Mull, 70 of Mishawaka Indiana, passed away on December 13, 2023.  A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her devoted husband Bruce and son Corey (Eryka Kettering) Mull, a daughter Brooke Gentry, and a sister Karen (Curt) Anderson.

Janel was blessed with three grandchildren: Jared Gentry and Alison & Benjamin Mull.  She was specially blessed with one great grandchild, Jonah Gentry.

She was preceded in death by her parents Elke Lewellen and Jacqueline (Tuesley) Lewellen and her brother Brad Lewellen.

Janel worked for Notre Dame and Martin's Supermarkets and was married to her loving husband for 51 years. Janel was an amazing cook who loved to be in the kitchen making everything from scratch. She loved having cookout and picnics with her family and enjoyed catering her homemade dishes for her family's baby showers and weddings.  She liked canning every fall. She would can everything from peaches, pears, to Jelly and sauces.  Above all her apple sauce was her specialty. She loved her family deeply and recently taught them the secrets to making her apple sauce so they can pass it down along the generations.  She loved having people over to her home. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family would like to request donations be made to the Food Bank of Northern Indiana (702 Chapin Street, South Bend, Indiana 46601

The family with be hold a private service at Chapel Hill Funeral Home.
