Janet Lee Martino, 75, of Mishawaka, passed away at 12:05 am, Wednesday, May 23, 2012 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. Janet was born on July 27, 1936 in South Bend, the daughter of the late Joseph and Natalie (Lymongrover) Runnells, Sr. On June 1, 1957, she married Dominic J. Martino. He passed away on September 13, 2009. She is also preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Runnells, Jr.
Janet is survived by three sons, Michael Martino, Jon (Janet) Martino and Perry Martino, all of Mishawaka; one granddaughter, Nicole Martino, and one great granddaughter, Kaylee Martino. She is also survived by two sisters, Patricia Rhoton of Granger and Barbara Heitz of New Albany, IN.
Janet is a lifetime area resident and graduated from Washington High School. She and her mother owned and operated Jantiques for many years.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, June 1, 2012 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial of ashes will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
