OSCEOLA – Janet G. Wingett, 81, of Osceola, passed away peacefully at home Friday, March 30, 2018. Janet was born to the late Tate and Beulah Calhoun on April 10, 1936 in Crabtree, TN. On June 6, 1956, Janet wed Mr. John Wingett in Osceola. They celebrated 60 years of marriage until his passing in February of 2017. She loved spending time at the dunes with her husband, John. Janet had a green thumb & was the envy of her neighbors tending a beautiful garden. She loved to go camping, enjoyed the company of her many cats, and spending time with her beloved sisters. Janet is survived by her daughter, Kim (Bill) Berry-Schalliol of Goshen, IN; sisters, Annette Rorie, Norma Jean Nash, both of Osceola, Charlotte Steele of Dowagiac, MI, & Naomi Smith of Indianapolis, IN; three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. In addition to her parents & husband, Janet was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Wingett, and brothers, James & John Calhoun. Friends may call Wednesday, April 4 ^th 5 pm-8 pm at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy, Osceola. Funeral service will be held Thursday, April 5 ^th at 10 am with Pastor Jack Rorie presiding.
