Janette E. Martin, 76, of South Bend, passed away at 10:37 pm, Friday, July 22, 2011 in her home surrounded by family. Janette was born on June 20, 1935, the daughter of the late Paul and Helen (Hohenstein) Mather. On June 20, 1953, she married John Martin.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, John, four children, Debra (Ed) Page of South Bend, Sharon (Roger) Belcher of Knox, John (Brenda) Martin of Mishawaka, and Machelle (Brian) Thompson of Ft. Wayne, 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, James Mather of Cogan Station, PA and Paul (Meldene) Mather of Franklin TN. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Alyce Stellfox and brother, Warren Mather.
Janette was a member of New Creation Fellowship, where she was the receptionist for many years. She graduated from Rhema Bible Training Center in 1998 and taught at Victory Bible College. Janette served in ministry and impacted the lives of many people. She loved family and to travel, and most of all, had a heart for Israel.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 pm, Thursday, July 28, 2011 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, in New Creation Fellowship, 30190 C.R. 10, Granger, with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial will take place in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
