Jeffrey B. Beattie, 44, of Elkhart, died Tuesday November 11, 2014. The Elkhart native was born October 20, 1970. Jeff worked in construction and was an avid photographer who enjoyed bicycling, hiking and snowboarding before an accident in 2004 left him paralyzed. He is survived by his parents, Patricia (Richard) Perkins of Elkhart and Ken (Evon) Beattie of Elkhart; his son, Sheldon Beattie; sister, Ronnie (Tom) Current of Charlotte NC; grandmother, Vera Hochstetler of Goshen and his step-brothers, Todd (Lottie) Hines of Elkhart, Trent (Bobbie) Hines of Kalamazoo MI and Troy Hines of Elkhart.
