Jennifer Lynn Carte, 4/6/1969-10/16/2018, native of Elkhart died in her home in Elkhart at 7:16 AM.
Jennifer made friends easily and had much family during her journey on the earth. Jen has joined her Mother Verna Stemm and Husband James Garrison in a place with no pain, just love and light.
Jenny loved Garfield, animals, Young and Restless, NASCAR, crocheting and chocolates! Jen wrote in her journal almost daily since the age of thirteen. Partying and rocking out were always part of her journey. She comes from a musical family.
Jenny is survived by her Father and Stepmother Mr. and Mrs. David Carte of Cass; Grandmother, Norma Stemm, 94, of Elkhart; Step siblings Sean and Shannon Riggs; Sister Lisa Carte Kime Messick all of Elkhart. Jenny had two children Troy Lambert of Cromwell, IN and Sasha Hill of New Mexico. She leaves 9 grandchildren to survive as well. Jennifer had many cousins Joanna and Rick Stemm of Elkhart. Her immediate family extended to Canada, "The First Nation of the Sioux", and an entire neighborhood in Dunlap.Jenny will be honored at Chapel Hill Good Shepherd Chapel on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 3 PM in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, IN.
Donations for the family for final arrangements, cards and flowers can be sent to Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, IN 46561. A GOFUNDME account has also been set up to help the family with funeral expenses. Jenny was a huge animal advocate. In honor of her cat LIL' man; donations can also be sent to the Elkhart County Feral Cat Coalition via Lynn Scheittecatte at Elkhart Feral Cats@hotmail.com .
