Obituary

Jennifer Jo Gilpin (Croussore), age 60, passed away at 2:11 am on March 27, 2011 in her residence with her husband lying at her side. Jennifer was born on October 27, 1950 in Bremen, Indiana to the late James and Helen (Lytle) Croussore. She was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Neff. On March 16, 1972, Jennifer married William A. Gilpin Sr. who still survives.
She is also survived two children; her son William A. Gilpin Jr. of South Bend and her daughter Helen (Jon) Calvin of Mishawaka. She was also a mother to an "adoptive" son, Andrew Peters of South Bend. Jennifer was a proud and loving grandmother to Zachary, Hannah, Arianna, and Michael Calvin and Alexis Negri, all of Mishawaka, Indiana. She had an amazing relationship with her niece Monica (Michael) Santa. Jennifer is survived as well by her sister, Mary (Glen) Bellman.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, April 5, 2011 in the Garden of Everlasting Life on the grounds of Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola. Chapel Hill Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Jennifer was a nurse at Memorial Hospital for 43 years, and touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with. She had the amazing ability to help those with drug addictions and mental illness. She also had a love for animals and was a loving owner to two cats, Little Guy and Buttercup, and three dogs, Roscoe, Duke and Rusty.
Jennifer will be greatly missed by her husband, children, grandchildren, neice, friends and animals. In her memory, contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Ct. South Bend, Indiana 46637.
