Ms. Jeri A. Thews, age 74, of South Bend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Healthwin Specialized Care in South Bend, Indiana.

Born on March 7, 1951, in Elkhart, Indiana, Jeri was the beloved daughter of the late Earl and Ethel (Nolan) Thews. She graduated from Elkhart High School with the Class of 1969 and later enjoyed a long and fulfilling career at Bayer Corporation Pharmaceuticals, retiring in 2010.

Jeri was a faithful and devoted member of Saint Paul's United Methodist Church, where she joyfully sang in the choir and participated in the handbell choir. Her deep spiritual life also led her to become an active member of the Michiana Emmaus Community, where she found lifelong friendships and purpose.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her half-sister, Pat Rooney.

Jeri is lovingly remembered by her twin sister, Judy Curtis; her brother, Tom (Linda) Thews; nieces and nephews, Keith Thews, Mindy Replogle, Matthew Curtis, and Andrew Curtis; as well as numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, dear friends, and former colleagues.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola, Indiana. A funeral service celebrating Jeri's life will follow at 12:00 noon at the funeral home with Rev. Tom DeFries officiating.

Interment will take place immediately afterward at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola.
