Jerry L. Burton, 75, of Mishawaka, died Tuesday, March 17, 2015. The Rockfield, IN native was born May 11, 1939 to Donald & Vada (Wilson) Burton, who have both preceded him in death. Jerry was a US Army veteran and had retired in 2000 from Conrail after 37 years. He was a member of the American Legion, Post #308 and was a NASCAR enthusiast and fan of Dale Earnhardt. He enjoyed playing golf, snowmobiling and boating on the river. In addition to his parents, Jerry was also preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Carol Burton. He is survived by his sons, Jeff Burton of Logansport and Patrick (Angela) Burton of Culver; his brother, Bob (Mary Ann) Burton of Delphi; grandchildren, Chasey & Dylan Burton, both of Logansport, Audrie Burton of Culver and three great-grandchildren; nephews, Marc (Patsy) Burton & Matt (Kristin) Burton, both of Lafayette; his companion of 25 years, Connie Isza and the Candler family and all of his friends from Mr. G''s. Family & friends are invited to celebrate Jerry''s life at a memorial gathering on Saturday March 21, from 1-3pm, to be held at Mr. G''s Restaurant & Lounge, 708 Lincolnway West in Osceola.
