Jesse Reece Gann, 85, of Lakeland FL and formerly of Mishawaka, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016 at home in Lakeland. The Hardin County TN native was born December 18, 1930, the son of James Benton Gann & Lydia (Franks) Gann. A Mishawaka resident since 1950, Jesse moved to Florence AL in 2004 and later to Lakeland in 2015. He was employed at Uniroyal, retiring after more than 36 years there. On July 6, 1951, he married Frances Warren (Gann), who preceded him in death in 1991. In addition to his wife & parents, Jesse was also preceded by 2 sisters & 5 brothers. He is survived by his daughter, Charlotte (Tim) Zeak of Lakeland FL; son, Kevin (Mary) Gann of Cleveland TN; sister, Shirley (Gary) Eades of Osceola; brother, Melvin Gann of Isleton CA; grandchildren, Dr. Aaron (Elizabeth) Young of South Bend, Kimberly (Eric) Stokes of Mishawaka; Jennifer Zeak (Abhijeet) Desphande of Cincinnati OH and Michael (Lacey) Gann of Tyner IN; great-grandchildren, Sean Young & Alyssa Stokes of Mishawaka; Jacob, Alexander & Zachary Young of South Bend, Kaley & Courtney Gann of Tyner, IN and a special friend, Shirley Richardson of Mishawaka. Celebration of Life Memorial Service 2:00 Tuesday, May 10, 2016 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. with Rev. Jerry Bell of Twin City Baptist Church officiating.
