MISHAWAKA -  James (Jim) F. Horvath, 52, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018. Jim was born January, 14, 1966 in South Bend, IN to the late Frigyes (Fred) Horvath and Alberta (Haynes) Garrison. Jim worked many years as a self-employed brick mason. He took great pride in creating and building the beautiful brick work on many of the historical, commercial and residential buildings throughout the Michiana area.  At a young age, Jim inspired his brother, Jeff to become a brick mason and mentored him in the trade of masonry. Jim was a devoted son who cared and admired his mother deeply. Over the years they enjoyed spending time together and occasionally you would find them at a local restaurant dining and enjoying each other's company. Jim touched the lives of many people with his big personality, boisterous voice, smile and generosity that will be missed by his family and friends. He truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, cooking or just watching a movie.  He appreciated the outdoors and loved spending time fishing the St. Joe River for Walleye. He took pleasure in helping animals and had a big heart for dogs. Jim will be forever remembered by his brother Jeff (Christine) Horvath of Mishawaka, IN and his sister Heidi (Jeff) Sellers of New Palestine, IN, along with his stepson Chad Love of Mishawaka, IN.  Family will receive visitors on Sunday, June 24 ^th from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Chapel Hill Funeral Home located at 10776 McKinely Hwy, Osceola.
