Joan Elaine Strope, age 85, of Osceola, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017. Joan was born July 18, 1931 in Elkhart, IN to Perry Anderson and Virginia (Sniadecki) Bunch. In 1980, Joan married Robert D. Strope. He preceded her in death on December 31, 2003. Joan was the owner and operator of Trophy''s Unlimited for over 40 years. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and her giant geraniums were a testament to her green thumb. She was a member of Osceola Grace Brethren Church. Joan is survived by her daughter, Tamara (Anthony J.) Morgan of Osceola; two grandchildren, Brad A. and Brent A. Morgan; one great-grandson Kamren B. Morgan; and a sister Gloria Decker, South Bend. Joan was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Strope; her son, Dennis Haas in 1970; and her siblings, Irvin Bunch, Robert Bunch, Lorraine Martin, Shirley Friesner, and Marilyn Rickey. A celebration of life will be held on May 6, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Osceola Grace Brethren Church, 58343 South Apple Road, Osceola, IN 46561.
