Joan Ivy, 79, of Elkhart, passed away on Sept. 13, 2022 peacefully, at her daughter's home.  She was born on May 18, 1943 in Elkhart to Lee E. and Edna (Lowther) Perrin.  Her husband, Van Austin Ivy preceded her in death in 2003.

She is survived by her daughter, Stacy (Shaun) Robinson; her son, Van Lee Ivy; grandchildren, Ava & Olive Ivy; and her nephew, Chris (Jennifer) Perrin.

Joan was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Jim and Jerry Perrin.

She was employed at Purdue Extension as a secretary.  Joan was a very active member of Bethel United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years.    She loved nature, being outdoors, gardening, golfing, painting and photography.

A funeral service in her honor will be on Thursday Sept. 22, 2022 at 11 AM at Bethel United Methodist Church 1200 N. Michigan St. Elkhart IN.  Pastor Keith McFarren will officiate.  Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the service at the church.
