Joann Green, 85 of Elkhart, IN, passed away on Friday November 17, 2023.  She was born on May 22, 1938  in Lafayette, IN to James and Lillian (Solomon) Raber.

She is survived by her sons: Jack (Lisa) Hull, Jr., James (Robbie) Hull, Alan Green and Brian (Jackie) Green; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; as well as dear friends, Sue and Steve Mansfield.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Thrailkill.

She was a member of Southside Baptist Church.  She loved animals- especially feeding the squirrels and the birds.  She was always taking in strays.

A Remembrance Service in her honor will begin at 11 AM Tuesday at Southside Baptist Church 1130 Jackson Road, South Bend, IN 46614.

Private family burial will take place at 11 AM Wednesday at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be directed to the South Bend Animal Resource Center or Hospice of Mishawaka.

Chapel Hill Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
