Obituary
John P. Aust 72, of Elkhart, IN passed away on February 27, 2021 at his residence. He
was born to the late Chester Maxwell Aust and June Singer Aust on May 10, 1948 in
Goshen, IN. He married his late wife Roberta (Dempster) Aust on March 27, 1970.
John proudly served his country in the United States Army. He retired from Forest River
in 2010. John was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time
with his family, fishing, deer hunting and watching NASCAR.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his sister Mary Lou
Pavasco.
John is survived by his 2 sons Michael (Johnna) Aust and Robert Swearengin; his sister Ruth
Ann (Verlin) Schrock; 4 grandchildren Michael, Brenden, Thomas and James Aust; 2
great grandchildren Emma and Brantley.
Services will be held privately at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Pastor Ed Ritchie of the Elkhart
was born to the late Chester Maxwell Aust and June Singer Aust on May 10, 1948 in
