John Eugene Eli, 72, of Edwardsburg, formerly of Elkhart, passed away at 4:29 am, Thursday, May 23, 2013 in Rose Arbor Hospice House, Kalamazoo, MI. John was born on June 4, 1940 in Mishawaka, the son of the late Joseph F. Eli and Mary (Orban) Eli. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Pryzblski, who passed away June 25, 2000,

He is survived by his brother, Joseph F. Eli, Jr. of Edwardsburg, nephews, Joseph Eli, III of Elkhart, David Eli of Elkhart, Charles Eli of Perrysburg, OH and niece Jennifer Eli of Elkhart. He is also survived by special friends, Ralph and Bonnie Gentle of Elkhart.

John proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked for Granger Gas as a deliver man for many years. He loved to paint and left every surviving family member a personal painting.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, May 25, 2013 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Rev. Michael Jenkins will officiate. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Oscoela.
