John P. Leland, 68, went to be with the Lord on January 21, 2022. He was born on September 13, 1953 to the late Betty Price and John Roy Leland in South Bend, IN. John had a deep love for his wife, had a passion for teaching, and treasured being around his family.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Gary and Keith Leland.

John is survived by his wife, Jean (Webster) Leland; children, John (Emily) Leland, Michael (Jamie) Leland, Matthew (Jane) Leland, Mark (Dawnielle) Leland, Benjamin (Breanna) Leland, Elizabeth (Dustin) Anderson, and Daniel (Haley) Leland; 14 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews; and many cousins.

Visitation will be Friday, January 28, 2022 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 59220 Bremen Hwy, Mishawaka, IN 46544. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Hillcrest Baptist Church. Burial will follow the service in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Services have been entrusted to Chapel Hill Funeral Home.
