John Myles Mason, Jr, age 69, of South Bend, IN passed away on May 8, 2016 at 11:25 PM at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN. He was born August 19, 1946 to John Myles Mason, Sr. and Betty Emeline Keossler in Greencastle, IN. After graduating from high school, John served his country in the United States Army as a Sharpshooter Rifleman. On February 12, 1971, John married Donna Hunt. She survives. John was a meat cutter for 37 years prior to retirement. He was a member of the Steelheaders and the NRA and enjoyed shooting, camping, working on cars, fishing, and performing magic tricks with playing cards. John also loved putting models together and working with leather. John is survived by his wife of 45 years, Donna; his children, John Lewis (Erin) Mason of Birmingham, AL and James Lowell (Ellie Britton) Mason of Mishawaka; a grandson, Jakob Ryder Mason. In accordance with John''s wishes, there will be no services at this time.
