John William Sill Jr., age 90 of Edwardsburg, MI passed away April 26, 2023. A life resident of the Michiana area, he was born June 5, 1932 to the late John W. Sill Sr. and Ruth (Pfeifer) Sill in Mishawaka, IN. After high school he worked for the Studebaker Corporation before joining the US Navy. John spent over 24 years serving our country aboard the USS Enterprise, USS Bonhomme Richard and the USS Intrepid. He also flew in many aircraft both fighter and service planes, visited a multitude of countries and completed his service as Master Chief Aircraft Maintenance Chief Petty Officer Fighter Squadron 32 based at Oceana Virginia. John married the love of his life and the mother of his children Elsie Marie (Richez) Sill on September 21, 1957 in Pensacola, FL. Preceding him in death are his parents, spouse, and son Gary John Sill. Surviving John's memory are his daughter Karen (Keith) Smith, daughter in law Rebecca Landry Sill, grandchildren; Kayla Smith and Kyle (Jade) Smith, Michelle (Jim) Moulton, Ashley (Monty) Ort, as well as great grandchildren Hayden June Smith and Fiona and Averiegh Moulton.

Military Honors will be held at the cemetery following the Memorial Service Monday May 1, 2023.
