John F. Wingett, 80, of Osceola, died Wednesday February 15, 2017. The Mishawaka native was born July 13, 1936 to Lawson F. & Leona (Holland) Wingett; he graduated from Mishawaka High School with the Class of 1954 and served his country in the US Army, stationed in Germany. On June 30, 1956 he married Janet G. Calhoun (Wingett), who survives after 60 years of marriage. John retired from Stall Printing & Design (formerly Direct Mail Letter Service) after 33 years with the company. He was a member of the GCIU (Union) and enjoyed building dune buggies, camping and practicing at the gun range. He was also an avid fan of Notre Dame Football and NASCAR. In addition to his wife Janet, John is also survived by his daughter, Kym (Bill) Schalliol of Elkhart, grandchildren, Danielle (Steven) Brillhart of South Bend and Chrystal Wingett of Mishawaka, and his sister, Sharon (Egon) Ratkay of South Bend.
