John E. Wright, 75, of Elkhart, passed away on Sunday August 7, 2022.  He was born on July 16, 1947 in Mexico, Missouri to George and Helen (Turner) Wright.  He married Cheryl Konanz on March 1, 1969.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; 3 sons: John E., Jr., James and Jason Wright; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers: Bud and Bill Goff; and a sister, Eljeana Finchum.

He was preceded in death by his twin brother, James Wright; his mother, Helen Dehm; and his father, George Wright.

John served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during Viet Nam.  He retired after 27 years as a Heavy Equipment Operator for the City of Elkhart Waste Water Treatment Plant.  He attended the Salvation Army.

A memorial service in his honor will be on August 13, 2022 at 1 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home 10776 McKinley Hwy., Osceola, IN.  Friends may visit with the family for 2 hours prior to the service.
