Jonas Manuel Lopez, age 6, of Elkhart, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. Jonas was born December 30, 2004 in South Bend to Hector M. and Brandi (Lowe) Lopez.
His parents survive, along with his siblings, Alejandro, Marco, Monica and Olivia Lopez, and his grandmothers, Sharon Geary, and Maria Aida Lopez. Also surviving is his aunt and uncle, who are his Godparents, Yesenia and Luis Zagal, his aunt Brooke Westphal, and his uncle A. Tommy Lowe.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the 11:00 am Funeral Mass at St. Vincent Catholic Church, 1108 S. Main Street, Elkhart, IN. on Saturday, October 8, 2011. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Jonas was a special child who brought joy and happiness to those around him. He was surrounded by his loving family and many wonderful people who cared for him during his time of need.
