Josephine H. Roberts, age 90, of Elkhart, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2010 at Valley View Health Care Center in Elkhart. Josephine was born April 1, 1920 to the late Stanley and Frances Kapasinski in LaPorte, Indiana. On January 25, 1943, she married Harold Wayne Roberts in LaPorte County, Indiana. Mr. Roberts preceded her in death, passing away in August of 2008.
Surviving are her sons, Gary (Brenda) Roberts of Gauley Bridge, West Virginia, and Allen (Connie) Roberts of Elkhart, Indiana. Josephine is also survived by her sister, Dorothy Hill of Michigan City, Indiana, 8 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm (EST) on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola, Indiana. Services will be held at 2:00 pm (EST) Friday, December 17, 2010 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Indiana.
Josephine was employed for over 20 years by Concord Schools in the cafeteria. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing golf, knitting and crafts, and cooking.
