Josephine L. Jo'' Stewart, 89, of Elkhart, died Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born in Nappanee on May 26, 1921 to Ren & Mary Ethel (Buss) Metzler. Jo retired in 1986 from CTS (Chicago Telephone Service) after 35 years of service. She was a lifetime member of the Moose Lodge #599, Elkhart and enjoyed travelling & camping in their RV. Jo was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, on April 14, 2004. Survivors include her son, Eddie (Susan) Foster of Indianapolis; brother, Wendell (Dorothy) Metzler of Nappanee; sister, Phyllis Replogle of Elkhart; grandchildren, Kerry Foster of Indianapolis & Kristin (John) De Wulf of Phoenix, AZ and six great-grandchildren. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 30 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 10776 McKinley Highway. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. The family''s preferred memorial is First Mennonite Church, 900 West Market St., Nappanee, IN 46550-1800.
