Joyce Ann Gaugler, 79, of Osceola, died on June 4, 2018 surrounded by her family.  She was born on October 10, 1938 to Arthur and Helen (Hans) Speckman in Mishawaka, Indiana.  Joyce graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1955 and married the love of her life, James L. Gaugler, on January 28, 1956.  James preceded Joyce in death on June 23, 1993.  She enjoyed crossword puzzles, Notre Dame Girl's basketball, and game shows.    Her greatest love was her family.  She attended all of her children and grandchildren's activities and enjoyed family time.  Joyce was a superior cook and kept a meticulously clean home.  Joyce is survived by her children, Jeff (Trish) Gaugler and Tammy Gaugler-Waller; her grandchildren, Blake (Tori) Gaugler, Stephanie Gaugler, Drew (Ashton) Gaugler, Justin (Wendy) Waller, Austin Clardy, Ashley (Ed) Paylo, Kim (John Heiney) Gaugler; her great-grandchildren, Brooklynn Gaugler, Trevin Gaugler, Mackenzie Chaney, Emerie Paylo, Lily Gaugler, Madix Gaugler, Jennaleigh Waller, Braxton Waller; and her brother, Jerry (Cookie) Speckman.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Gaugler; son, James Allan Gaugler; and her sister, Phyllis Schosker.  Friends and family will be received on Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 10-12 PM with a funeral service in Joyce's honor beginning at 12 Noon at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, IN  46561.  Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Center for Hospice Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, Indiana 46637 or the American Lung Association, 115 W Washington St #1180-South, Indianapolis, IN 46204.
