Obituary

Joyce Susan Scott, 70, of Osceola, passed away at 11:49 am, Thursday, April 14, 2011 in her home surrounded by family. Joyce was born on May 28, 1940 in South Bend, the daughter of Phillip and Gertrude (Allen) Beyers. On November 13, 1971, she married Jack Scott.
Joyce is survived by her loving husband, Jack of Osceola, three daughters, Debra Davis of Osceola, Terri Abbott of Osceola and Marie (Steve) Garatoni of South Bend; six grandchildren, Jeff, Lisa, Ryan, Jordan, Gage, and Emily. She is also survived by her mother, Gertrude Beyers of South Bend, sister, Beverly (Mike) Mammolenti of Mishawaka and brother, Phillip (Debra) Beyers, II of TN.
Joyce has been an area lifetime resident, graduating from Clay High School. She was co-owner of Jack Scott Construction and is a member of the Elkhart County Community Baptist Church. Joyce enjoyed boarding horses and loved to spend time with her family.
Visitation will be held from 2:00-6:00 pm, Sunday, April 17, 2011 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, April 18, 2011 in the funeral home with Pastor Ed Ritchie officiating.
The family wishes to thank Drs. Zon and Jordan and their medical staff. They would also like to thank all the medical staff at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center and Southern Care Hospice for their care and to all the loving friends from Fitness U.S.A. and all those who helped board horses.
