Juanita M. Hunt, 83, of Osceola, died Thursday, October 21, 2010 at home. The oldest of five children, she was born June 23, 1927 in South Bend to Thomas and Hazel (Welter) DeGraff. A homemaker, she was proud to say that "she still lived in the house she and her husband built in 1947". Survivors include her son, David Hunt of Elkhart; son-in-law, Dennis A. Himes, Sr. of Elkhart; grandchildren, Dennis A. Himes, II of Elkhart, Kimberly S. Whitmyer of Wakarusa and Mark A. Himes of Goshen; great-grandchildren, Andrew S. (Alicia) Himes of Virginia Beach, VA, Ashley N. (Ryan) Ashley of Schoolcraft, MI, Austin J. (Beth) Himes of Elkhart, Amber N. Whitmyer of Dayton, OH, John David (Shelly) Whitmyer of Mt. Holly, NJ, Joseph D. Getz of Osceola, Casey A. Whitmyer of Wakarusa and Keshia J. (Cody) Ong, Sidney Himes, Hailee Himes and Zoie P. Himes, all of Goshen; six great-great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie C. Hunt, daughter, Barbara J. Himes. Brothers, Frank and Tommy DeGraff; sisters, Ida Gwilt and Phyllis Dobis. Funeral Services 2:00 Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. Friends may call Tuesday 4-8pm at the funeral home. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family''s preferred memorial is the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (www.aspca.org).
