Obituary

Juanita E. Masters, age 86, of Mishawaka, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Fountainview Place Nursing Home of natural causes. Juanita was born September 12, 1923 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Alex and Esther (Morehouse) Cushway. On March 4, 1944, she married Ray C. Masters in Anderson, Indiana.
Ray survives, along with their children, Robert (Rosemary) Masters of Middlebury, Indiana and Sheryl (Bobby) Beckham of Mishawaka. Also surviving is one sister, Daisy Cripe of Plymouth, Indiana, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 2 great -great grandchildren. Juanita was preceded in death by her siblings, Chester Cushway, and Dorothy Mitchell.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm Monday, November 23, 2009 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. There will also be calling one hour prior to the 1:00 funeral service on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Juanita was a graduate of South Bend Central High School. She was employed by the S.S. Kressge/K-Mart Corporation for 37 years prior to her retirement. She enjoyed cooking, embroidery and reading in her spare time, and was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Osceola.
In her memory, donations may be made to the Food Pantry at First General Baptist Church of Osceola.
