IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Judith "Judy"
Roylene Southwell
July 6, 1944 – February 14, 2024
Judith "Judy" Roylene Southwell
July 06, 1944 - February 14, 2024
Judith R. Southwell, 79, of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, February 14th, 2024, at the Center for Hospice – Ernestine M. Raclin House, Mishawaka, Indiana. Judith was born July 6th, 1944, in Clinton, Indiana, to Roy and Alice (Craft) Osborne.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Osborne and Alice Osborne, and her sister, Evelyn (Tom) Mitchell. She was also preceded in death by her first-born son, Michael Williams, and her beloved daughter Angela Tindle-James.
Judy is survived by her sisters, Sharon (Edward) Vegh of South Bend, Indiana, and Sheila (John) Wilemon of Cape Coral, Florida. Also surviving are her brothers, Frank (Linda) Osborne and Roy (Lil) Osborne, both of Lakeland, Florida, as well as her brother David (Cindy) Osborne of Granger, Indiana. Also surviving are her children and their spouses, Susan R. (Ken) Fisher of Osceola, Indiana, Tina L. (Todd) Colt of Elkhart, Indiana, Roy A. (Christina) Tindle of Elkhart, Indiana, and Debbie (Kenneth) Frick of Granger, Indiana. She also leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren, who she adored.
Throughout her life, Judy made a lasting impact on everyone she knew. She was an astute business owner and manager, a loving mother and homemaker. She had a never-give-up attitude and worked very hard to be a symbol of perseverance to all and had an impossibly strong resolve. She inspired all of us to work hard, love hard, and to be a positive and loving influence on the people in our lives. She sacrificed much throughout her life to ensure the best possible life for her children, who she loved dearly, and maintained this selfless behavior her whole life, and even after death, by prearranging much of her end-of-life services in advance, a burden she took upon herself to save her children and family yet another hardship. Her faith in God was inspiring and led many of her loved ones to God, and by doing so, many have given their lives to Christ as she did. She is and was always a beautiful woman, and her wonderful soul will surely be rewarded greatly in Heaven, where she undoubtedly now rests in the arms of our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ.
Although Judy suffered greatly from cancer, which ultimately ended her life, she never lost sight of God or her faith. At the height of her suffering, and when it seemed things were most bleak, she still insisted that the people she loved not be angry at God and reminded us how important this was to her by saying to us, "Always remember that Jesus is the light of the world". Judy was, herself, a light for many. Her memory will always be a source of joy and love for those she leaves behind.
