Judy Ann Oglesby
LaPorte, Indiana — Judy Ann Oglesby, 66, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2026, at Northwest Health–LaPorte Hospital, following a period of declining health, with her loving family by her side.
Judy was born on June 1, 1959, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Kenneth and Betty (Winebrenner) Martin. She graduated from Jackson in South Bend. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by Brother Ron, Sister Joan, Father Kenneth and Mother Betty .
On September 12, 1992 Judy married the love of her life, Alan Oglesby, at Saint Paul’s Memorial Church in South Bend. Together, they shared 45 years of marriage, building a life rooted in love, devotion, and family.
Judy found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She had a deep love for lilac bushes, enjoyed traveling with her family, and cherished quiet evenings watching classic movies. She was especially fond of the television series MASH*, which she could watch for hours. Judy also loved browsing antique malls, always on the lookout for unique treasures. Known for her sweet tooth, she often preferred dessert over the main course, a trait her family fondly remembers.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Alan Oglesby; her son, John Oglesby (Alexis Sky VanDyke); and her beloved grandchildren, Octavian Ray Oglesby and Everly Ann Kay Oglesby, with the joyful anticipation of welcoming her granddaughter, Ila Grace Oglesby. She is also survived by her brothers, David , Kenneth Jr., her sisters, Sally and Karen ; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, with a funeral service immediately following at 1:00 PM, all at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola, Indiana.
Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Garden of Liberty.
