Julian P. Adkins, 82, of Osceola passed away at home Tuesday April 7, 2015. Julian was born June 10, 1932 in Springfield, Tennessee to the late Julian and Angie Adkins. On December 22, 1951 Julian was united in marriage to Velma J. Farris. Julian enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and was an avid Notre Dame and Penn High School football fan. Julian was preceded in death by his wife, Velma; son, Ronald Dale Adkins, parents, Julian & Angie Adkins and siblings, Molly Mitchell, Rebecca Mossman, Lena Bumpus, Harce Adkins, Lena Adkins and Jesse Adkins; grandchildren, Micky Lee Brown and Jason P. Adkins. He is survived by his children, Dewayne (Tina) Adkins of Elkhart, David (Donna) Adkins of Osceola, Theresa Brown of Springfield, TN, Debbie Jones of Elkhart, Sheila (Kent) Leazenby of Mishawaka, Pam (Mike) Estes of Osceola and Peggy Stump of Elkhart. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5-7pm Thursday April 9, 2015 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. Funeral Services 12:00 Friday, April 10, 2015 at South Side General Baptist Church, 1615 S. Spring Street, Mishawaka, with calling one hour prior to services. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
