June B. DeHaven, 89, passed away peacefully in the early morning of Fri, July 20, 2018. June was born Feb 26, 1929 in South Bend, IN to the late Oden and Martha (Selberg) Robertson. Ms. DeHaven was a dedicated mother raising 5 children and providing them with a loving home. In the early 1980's, she worked at Healthwin in South Bend as a care giver. Later, she went on to provide home healthcare until 1999 at the age of 70. June loved to crochet, embroider, bake, cook and especially enjoyed gardening. She appreciated beautiful flowers all through the spring and summer months. She was also an avid Notre Dame Football fan. She rooted for the Irish every season & reveled in their wins. June is survived by her children, Ron DeHaven of Elkhart, IN, Randy DeHaven of Londonderry, NH, Debra (Michael Mynsberge) Wesolek-Mynsberge of Mishawaka, IN, Diana Picking of South Bend, IN, and Donna (Roger) Lee of Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Chad (Kim) DeHaven, Todd DeHaven, Holly (Dave) DaSilva, Adam (Melissa) DeHaven, Jacob Picking, and Matthew (Yunna Bae) Wesolek, and eleven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two nieces and two nephews. In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Thomas Wesolek; nephew, Jim Boatwright; brothers, Eugene & Robert Robertson, and sisters, Jane Fodor, and Joan Dylejko. June's family wishes to extend sincere thanks to Heart-to-Heart Hospice for their care. They would also like to recognize Joyce Palmateer, NP from Creekside Village for her loving care & compassion. In honor of June's legacy, memorial donations may be directed to The Alzheimer's Association, National Headquarters 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601, or online at act.alz.org. Chapel Hill Funeral Home is entrusted with Ms. DeHaven's arrangements. Funeral services will be private, with interment to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
