June Ellen Talcott, age 95 of South Bend, passed away Friday, May 2, 2014 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka. June was born June 29, 1918 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Arthur and Goldie (Moore) McEwan. June married Arthur Talcott in 1939, and he preceded her in death, passing away in 1997.
Surviving are her sons, William (Debbie) Talcott of Osceola, Terry (Sherrie) Talcott of Haines City, Florida, and Charles (Rosanne) Talcott of Bradenton, Florida. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren; Kristin (Patrick) Haley, David (Emily) Talcott, Kelly (Tony) Sterling, Rochelle (Mark) Schroeder, Robin (Robert) Schramm, William (Laura) Talcott Jr., Kimberly Bone, James Talcott, Jodie Talcott, and Tracy Weidner. Also surviving are 21 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. June was preceded in death by her brothers, Arthur and James McEwan, and her grandson, John Talcott.
Visitation will be held from 12-2 pm Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Tuesday, May 6 at Chapel Hill, with interment to follow in St. Joseph Valley Cemetery, Mishawaka, Indiana.
June was a homemaker, and loved being one. She enjoyed taking great care of her family, cooking and baking, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and her favorite dog, "Rusty."
