Karen Lee Kruggel Lockmondy, age 76, formerly of South Bend IN, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at St. Mary's Hospital in West Palm Beach FL. She was born April 23,1944, in South Bend IN, to William and Gertrude (Doberts) Kruggel. She was a graduate of Riley High School. She married Harold Chilcote, who preceded her in death.  She later re-married, continuing her life with Paul Lockmondy in South Bend, he also preceded her in death. She worked as a manager for the former Nickels Bakery, displaying a wonderful love for the job and customers. She later worked at Meijer where she met husband, Paul Lockmondy. Karen truly lived life.  She was a hard worker and enjoyed simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, word searches, and spending time with loved ones. She is survived by her brother, William (Gaye) Kruggel; nephews, Jeff (Angie) Kruggel, Todd (Joe) Kruggel; great nephew, Nicholos (Carol), and great niece, Jamie. Family, friends, and others whose lives Karen touched are invited to the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 Mckinnley Hwy, Osceola IN, on Saturday September 19 ^th from 9am-11am.  The funeral will follow at 11am.
