Karen Sue (Gilliland) Morauski, 77 of Elkhart, IN passed away on December 28, 2021 in Mishawaka, IN.  She was born to the late Robert and Kathryn (Fritschle) Gilliland on January 1, 1944 in Urbana, IL.

She was an Elkhart Community School teacher for over 10 years.  She was a devoted mother and loved being with her family.  She enjoyed camping, crafts, sewing, canvas sewing and traveling after her retirement.

She is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Terra) Morauski and Teresa Ragsdale; 5 grandchildren, Kala, Paige, Harper, Thomas and Aaron.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald "Mark" Gilliland.

Services for Karen will be Monday, January 3, 2022 at 11AM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home 10776 McKinley Hwy Osceola, IN 46561, with burial to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  Friends may visit on Sunday, January 2, 2022 from 3PM-5PM at the funeral home.  Chapel Hill is honored to care for the Morauski Family.
